RunPod Referral Code and $5–$500 Credit Bonus

Cheap GPUs. Read the fine print first.

$5–$500 RunPod credit - released after you load $10 for the first time. The amount is a random weighted draw decided by RunPod, not a fixed bonus.

Open a RunPod account through our independent referral link, sign up with Google SSO, and load $10 to receive a one-time credit. RunPod decides the amount at random within a $5–$500 range.

Sign up with Google SSO.RunPod's documentation says referrals that sign up any other way are not eligible for rewards, and its own signup popup does not mention this. There is no separate RunPod promo code to paste anywhere — the link carries the referral. You'll be redirected to RunPod, and no information is collected on this site.

BonusBench is an independent referral website and is not operated by or affiliated with RunPod. The site owner may receive a referral benefit when an eligible user signs up through the referral link. Offer terms and eligibility may change, so review the current terms before signing up.

Before you sign up

Four Rules That Decide Whether You Get Anything

RunPod's signup popup advertises the credit but not the conditions attached to it. Miss any of the four below and no credit is released — there is no way to fix it afterwards.

  • You must sign up with Google SSO

Sign up with an email address instead and the referral is not eligible for any credit.

  • You must be a first-time RunPod user

Existing and returning accounts are not eligible.

  • You must load $10 onto the account

The credit is released after the first $10 is loaded. Loading less releases nothing.

  • In Europe the credit is a fixed $5

The $5–$500 range applies outside Europe only.

These rules are RunPod's, not ours. Verified August 28, 2026 against RunPod's referral documentation. Confirm them at the source before signing up.

How it works

How the RunPod Referral Credit Works

Three steps, all of them on RunPod. Step two is the one people get wrong.

01

Click the referral link

Use the button on this page to reach RunPod through the referral link. Nothing is collected here.

02

Sign up with Google SSO

RunPod only credits referrals that sign up this way. Choosing email instead forfeits the credit permanently.

03

Load your first $10

RunPod releases the one-time credit after the first $10 is loaded. The amount and its timing are decided by RunPod.

Using RunPod

Pods or Serverless, and What $10 Actually Gets You

The credit is only worth something if you spend it on the right product. Prices change often, so check RunPod's pricing page for current rates — the guidance below is about choosing, not costing.

Pods: rent a machine by the hour

You get a container on a GPU host and it bills for as long as it stays up — idle time included. Right for training runs, notebooks, and anything you babysit.

Serverless: pay per request

Workers spin up on demand and bill only while executing. Right for inference endpoints with uneven traffic, wrong for long jobs that would hit an execution limit.

What your first $10 buys

On a mid-range GPU it is a few hours of Pod time — enough to fine-tune something small or benchmark your workload before committing. It is a trial budget, not a month of compute.

Idle Pods are the usual bill shock

A Pod left running overnight bills overnight. Stop Pods you are not using; this is the single most common way people burn their credit without producing anything.

A good fit if

You want cheap GPU time without a committed contract, you can containerise your work, and you are comfortable managing your own environment.

Not a good fit if

You need guaranteed capacity in a specific region, a formal SLA, or compliance paperwork. Availability varies by GPU type and the marketplace supply behind it.

The credit amount is decided at random by RunPod

RunPod describes the referral credit as a random weighted bonus between $5 and $500, released after a referred user loads $10 for the first time. In Europe it is a fixed $5. BonusBench does not know how the weighting is distributed, does not estimate it, and does not guarantee any amount — treat $5 as the figure you can count on. Eligibility, amounts, and conditions are determined entirely by RunPod and can change at any time. Verified August 28, 2026 against RunPod's referral documentation. FAQ

Questions, answered plainly

What is the current RunPod referral bonus?

Signing up through a RunPod referral link and loading $10 for the first time releases a one-time account credit. Outside Europe the amount is a random weighted draw between $5 and $500. In Europe it is a fixed $5.

Do I really need to sign up with Google SSO?

Yes. RunPod’s documentation states that referred users must sign up using Google SSO, and that referrals signing up through any other method are not eligible for rewards. This is the single most common reason a referral credit never arrives.

Why didn’t I get my credit?

The most likely cause is not signing up with Google SSO, which RunPod requires for referral eligibility. Other causes are not being a first-time RunPod user, or not having loaded $10 onto the account yet.

Am I going to get the maximum credit?

There is no way to know in advance. RunPod describes the amount as a random weighted bonus between $5 and $500. BonusBench does not know the distribution and does not estimate it. Treat $5 as the amount you can count on.

Is there a RunPod promo code to type in?

No separate code is provided here. The referral link itself carries the referral, so there is nothing to paste into a promo field.

Do I have to spend $10 or just add it?

RunPod’s documentation says the credit is released after the referred user loads $10 onto their account. RunPod’s own signup popup words this as spending your first $10. Confirm the current wording in RunPod’s terms before relying on either.

Does the credit expire?

RunPod’s referral documentation does not state an expiry for referral credits, so BonusBench does not claim one. Check your RunPod account and their current terms for anything specific to your balance.

Can I use the credit on any RunPod product?

The credit lands as account credit. RunPod controls what account credit can be applied to, so review their billing documentation for current restrictions.

What does BonusBench get out of this?

If you qualify, BonusBench receives the same kind of one-time credit, plus credits on your spend during your first six months — 5% on Serverless and 3% on Pods. This costs you nothing and does not change your credit amount.

Is BonusBench affiliated with RunPod?

No. BonusBench is an independent referral website and is not operated by or affiliated with RunPod. Offer terms, eligibility, and any credit are determined solely by RunPod and may change.

Ready to sign up for RunPod?

One last time: sign up with Google SSO, or RunPod will not credit the referral. Credit eligibility and the amount are determined by RunPod's current terms.
